Abu Nawas Prefers Entry to Prison

King Harun Al Rashid had two sons from his queen. The first child was named Al Ma'mun and the second was named Al Amin. Both of his sons have different personalities. Al Amin turned out to be very stupid and lazy while Al Ma, mun famous diligent and smart in the field of literature.

Because the intelligence of Al Ma'mun the rajapun more like it than Al Amin. This made the empress disliked, for the King was considered favoritism. There was a conversation between the empress and the King.

"My husband why are you not so fond of Al Amin?" Asked the empress Zubaidah.
"Because he can not make poetry and do not know the science of literature" answered the King.
"My husband, actually if you want Al Amin will be more master of literature than his brother. Actually he's smarter. He is just lazy, "said the empress tried to defend Al Amin,
"What is the proof?."
"Well, soon you will see the proof."

One afternoon the queen called his son Al Amin.

"I was just arguing with your father about you," the queen said to his son. "I do not want you to look at your eyes and compare to your sister. Therefore you should be able to match it. From now on you must be diligent in studying literature, to become a great poet. "

In the afternoon Al Amin left the palace to a deserted place. That's where he tried to sharpen his mind a fool. He tried to write verse verses without a teacher and without any guidance.

A few weeks later after feeling capable of mastering the science of literature and writing verse poems, Al Amin returned to the palace.
"So you are now able to write poetry, my son?" Asked the consort of Zubaidah as she welcomed his son's arrival with joy.
"Already," replied Al Amin.
"Then let me call Abu Nawas tomorrow to test your poetry."

Early the next morning Abu Nawas had appeared in the palace filling the queen's call.
"Abu Nawas, you try to listen to my son's poetry," said the empress with pride.
"Well Please," said Abu Nawas.

Al Amin then read out a few verses of poetry as follows:
"We are descendants of Bani Abbas.
We're sitting on a chair. "

Abu Nawas could barely contain his laughter hearing the poem.
"How?" Al Almin asked Abu Nawas.
"Yes, that is so. You are from the noble descendants "answered Abu Nawas ngeledek. "But try to proceed".
"We fought with swords and short spears."
"What kind of poet is that!" Cursed Abu Nawas who did not want to stale more.

Al Amin is very angry to hear the scorn of Abu Nawas. Then he ordered the palace troops to capture and put Abu Nawas into prison.

For a few days Abu Nawas never appeared in the palace, so King Harun Ar Rasyid felt homesick. Later the King heard the news that Abu Nawas was put into prison by Al Amin. He then took his son to jail to visit Abu Nawas.

"Why did you imprison him?" Asked the King.

Al amin then tells it all.

"The most painful thing is that he dares to ridicule the poetry of my work, my father," Al Amin said.

"Of course it is because your poems are ugly. He is a great poet, so he can judge a good poem and not good. Besides what he says do not you think of as a mockery, but a criticism that you should receive with a graceful chest, "said the King advised.

"Good. Then give me another chance time to improve my poetry work, "said Al Amin as he went away.

For the second time Al Amin went to a lonely place to sharpen his mind and explore literature in order to write a really good poem, unlike before. And a few weeks later he returned to the palace.

The next morning King Harun Ar Rashid, Abu Nawas and some poets were already in the palace. Apparently the meeting was arranged by the empress Zubaidah. Ian wants them to listen to his son's poetry that has just returned to study literature.

"Listen to the work of my son Al Amin's poem," said the empress Zubaidah.
"All right, please," Abu Nawas replied.
Al Amin began to read his poetry,
"Hi star who sits kneeling
No one seems as dumb as you
You like a kinafah dish
Covered with hardal seed oil and thick cow's oil
Like the color of a striped horse. "

When finished hearing the verse Abu Nawas then rose and moved from its place.

"Where are you Abu Nawas?" Asked the King

"I prefer to go back to prison instead of hearing that poem. After all, soon your son will surely have the police take me there, "replied Abu Nawas.

The king laughed at the answer of Abu Nawas's answer. While the empress Zubaidah can only sit idly. Now he was aware and convinced that his son Al Amin was stupid.
